“The Lord saw the worn down side of me, and He knew in detail the process that had worn down my uniqueness over time. And yet I hoped there was still a part of me that was fresh and untouched, uniquely me and vibrant.”
Can you relate? These are my words describing how I felt a few years ago during a wilderness time in my walk with Christ. I had started to go through the motions with God and I needed Him to breathe new life into my days. The process wasn’t always fun, but He was my Lord, my Friend, and my Teacher. His correction transformed me and allowed me to help others in their journey with Christ through penning Lost on a Familiar Road, to help others struggling with that “stuck” feeling of Christianity in slow motion.
